Mary Tudor (1516-1558), commonly known as Bloody Mary, ruled England for five years, beginning in 1553. The only surviving child of of King Henry VIII and his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, Mary I was a brutal nut bag.

Mary had many reasons for a honk against the world. She was a sickly child. She was her fathers Little Princess until she defended her mother over his various other wives, at which point he packed her off to a distant castle. Her Princess title was yanked, and she was declared illegitimate. Her upstart, boy-King half brother turned her country over to the Protestants. Her two pregnancies were wannabes and she inherited a fiscally messed up country.
