This magnet pictures a photo of a stunning art deco era stained glass
chapel window by Crespin & Colpaert. The window depicts three
virgin saints:
Catherine of Alexandria with the Catherine wheel, Juliana
of Cornelion and Elisabeth of Hungary (aka
St. Elisabeth von Thüringen).
Designer Adolphe Crespin played a pioneering role in the Belgian Art
Nouveau movement. Stained glass artisan Florent-Prosper Colpaert
(1886-1940) was also responsible for rendering an important artwork by
expressionist painter Albert Servaes (1883-1966) in glass.
The window is part of the Chapel of Borgerstein formerly
known as St. Jozefseminarie seminary) near Mechelen, between
Antwerp and Brussells.
Magnet Size: 2-5/8" x 3-1/4" (6.68cm x 8.25cm)

Photography by Eddy Van Leuven of Flanders,
Belgium. Van Leuven has been taking photos since
childhood, a hobby shared with his father, who gave him his
first camera. I am proud to display a
bit of his work. I especially like his nature and
architectural photos.
