Duck Stamp Refrigerator Magnet - Benson

Refrigerator magnet features a $1 migratory bird hunting duck stamp from 1935. The stamp was issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a federal hunting license for waterfowl, and was valid through to June 30, 1936.
Revenues from the sale of federal duck stamps have been used to acquire millions of acres of natural habitat for waterfowl in the National Wildlife Refuge System and continue as an important revenue source. The original painting of the 3 canvasback ducks was done by Frank W. Benson (1862-1951), an American artist in Boston. Benson was an avid sportsman and bird lover who became the recognized master of ornithological etchings.
