4" x 2-5/8" Refrigerator magnet features a Victorian boy and girl skating and pulling a sled full of Gilbert & Graves laundry starch.
The Gilbert S. Graves Starch Company was located in Buffalo, NY. I was unable to learn much about the company founder on the web other than that he was involved in politics. As of 1890, the Graves Starch company was owned by the American Glucose Company. By 1900 it had merged the National Starch Company that eventually became part of a corn syrup monopoly and ended up in court in 1916.
