| Item | This cabinet turned up at an consignment auction so we're sorry to report we don't know its original purpose. We suspect it was home made to be a gun cabinet. It's maker was obviously an amateur using materials at hand. We think it's cosmetic woes (check out the legs!) add to the charm. We added the two interior stationary shelves to make it more useful. The maker designed a unique locking mechanism that uses a contorted Allen hex wrench as a combination handle and key. |
| Composition | Turquoise blue painted metal |
| Age | 1970s guessed, based on the color. Turquoise was big in the early 1970s. |
| Condition | Strong and sturdy. Paint is chipped, bubbled, scratched, scraped and abused. |
| Size | 56" high x 19" wide x 19" deep x 160 lbs. |
| Shipping | This heavy item needs to be skidded and shipped by freight at a cost of $150-$225 depending on your location with west coast states and NYC at the high end of that range.
