A representation of figures important during the Tudor years isn't complete without Francis I of France.
Francis of Angouleme / Francis I (1494-1547) became king of France in 1515 and reigned for the rest of his life. He was an important arts patron, commissioning da Vinci, Cellini and Rosso, and acquiring important artworks by Michelangelo, Titian and Raphael. As such, he is credited with the French Renaissance.
His art appreciation hardly seems a fair offset for 30 years of aggression. Apparently squabbling over Italy was a habit inherited from his predecessors, but still.
This is just one of a large selection of refrigerator magnets depicting 16th century figures. See the entire collection.
Magnet size: 3-7/8" x 4-3/4 (9.83cm x 12.06cm)
